VATICAN CITY, APRIL 26, 2005 (Zenit.org).- At his first general audience this Wednesday, Benedict XVI will greet Muslims who are participating in a symposium of Islamic-Christian dialogue organized by the Focolare Movement.
Sources in the Church movement confirmed this to ZENIT. The Focolare Movement organized the symposium entitled "Who is God for Us?" at Castel Gandolfo, south of Rome. It opened Sunday.
About 100 Muslims from 33 countries, including the United States, Canada, Libya and Indonesia, will participate in the papal audience.
Speakers at the Focolare symposium have included Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald, president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.
