VATICAN CITY, SEPT. 28, 2005 (Zenit.org).- At the weekly general audience Benedict XVI encouraged initiatives of education in peace promoted by Israelis and Palestinians.
Before taking leave of the 30,000 pilgrims who attended today's audience in St. Peter's Square, the Pope greeted Israelis and Palestinians who were in Rome to participate in the Education for Peace Seminar.
"Upon all of you," he said in English, "I invoke God's abundant blessings of peace and joy."
