Keeping Up With the Pope

A response to Aide: Rumors About Pope's Health "Baseless"

The Pope had a very full schedule for a man of his age. I am some 15 years younger and I would have had trouble keeping up with such a hectic schedule. I think he handled it very well and did not appear to be exhausted or ill. Why look for trouble when there is none. The Holy Father's visit to the U.S. was the best thing that has happened to us in a very long time. We need a spiritual central force in our American life and the Holy Father certainly provided that on his visit. A humble, gentle and loving servant representing the Vicar of Christ on earth. We had a wonderful opportunity to really see him as he is and not some media presentation of what they think he is. His love of our people was most obvious. God bless the Holy Father.
