The Now Generation

A response to: Do You Know Who's Behind Your News?

I agree wholeheartedly with Archbishop [Charles] Chaput. American people are consumed by this artificial need of instantaneousness fueled by the media and Internet. Even the new translation of Scripture and the Good News we hear read at Mass is sadly quite dumbed down and repetitious in order to make it "easier" for people to catch what our Lord is trying to say to them. Making time to ponder and meditate on what we read, see and hear in the news is just as important today as doing the same with the Word of God.
