LONDON, APRIL 10, 2004 (Zenit.org).- The bishops of England and Wales have launched a new agency to help the Catholic community share the Gospel message where they live and work.

The Catholic Agency to Support Evangelization (CASE) is the fruit of several years planning and has been established to support, train and resource Catholics from all walks of life to share and spread their faith.

The agency will offer a range of training and resources to support parishes, communities, schools, groups and individuals.

A key focus of CASE’s work will be the promotion of dialogue between the Catholic faith and culture, as well as providing information on Catholic life and beliefs, through the Catholic Enquiry Office.

“We truly believe that in the person of Jesus Christ every person’s deepest needs and desires are fulfilled,” said Monsignor Keith Barltrop, director of CASE. “In the months ahead, we look forward to helping the Catholic community to get that Good News proclaimed and heard.”

The CASE Web site will enable the Catholic community to access free resources and information about faith-sharing strategies and programs.

The site, www.caseresources.org, will also provide information about new Catholic movements and communities, and offer prayer support and accompaniment for those involved in the work of evangelization.
