Cardinal Francis Arinze, president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, told Vatican Radio: “[The] Gospel does not change. … However, it is necessary to give this message to each man, each culture and each nation of the world.”

“It is necessary to meet with people of other religions, not only to engage in dialogue and collaboration, but also to share with them the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ,” the cardinal added. “Religion is proposed, not imposed — but it must be proposed.”

All the world´s cardinals will meet in the Vatican to study the challenges facing the Church, in light of the apostolic letter “Novo Millennio Ineunte.”
