Ecumenical-Dialogue Seminar Under Way

VATICAN CITY, JUNE 22, 2001 (ZENIT.org).- A two-day study seminar is under way at the Pontifical Council for the Laity on the theme "Associations of Faithful: Ecumenical and Interreligious Dialogue."
The pontifical council is promoting the seminar in collaboration with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the pontifical councils for Promoting Christian Unity and Interreligious Dialogue.
Cardinal James Francis Stafford, president of the council for the laity, inaugurated the seminar today. Auxiliary Bishop Rino Fisichella of Rome was to speak on ecumenical and interreligious dialogue in a global and multicultural society.
