The trio of poems reflect on God as the origin and endpoint of human life and all creation. The Holy Father also ponders the beginning and end of his own reign as Pope, focusing on the images in the Sistine Chapel.

Originally written in Polish, these are the first poems John Paul II has published during his pontificate.

According to the USCCB, the book will be illustrated with works from the Vatican Museum and published in English and Spanish.

Expected release date for the hardcover edition is June 29. A paperback and audio edition will follow.

Information on how to order “Roman Triptych” is at the USCCB Publishing page.
