Eucharist Encyclical Now in a Simplified Form

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, NOV. 16, 2003 (Zenit.org).- A simplified version of John Paul II's encyclical on the Eucharist is now in print.



"Letter on the Eucharist: Simplified Version," by Monsignor Vincent Walsh, takes the original 17,000-word text of the encyclical "Ecclesia de Eucharastia" and condenses it into fewer than 7,000 words.

Previously, Monsignor Walsh published simplified versions of "Love and Responsibility" and "Theology of the Body" to make John Paul's writings more accessible to a wider audience.
