EWTN to Broadcast Meeting Between Pope and Patriarch

ISTANBUL, Turkey, NOV. 28, 2006 (Zenit.org).- EWTN Global Catholic Network has announced that it will broadcast live the meeting between the ecumenical patriarch of Constantinople, Bartholomew I, and Benedict XVI.
EWTN will broadcast at noon (EST) on Wednesday the arrival of Benedict XVI to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, which will consist of a moment of prayer with Bartholomew I at the Ecumenical Cathedral of St. George. The two religious leaders will then have a private meeting.
On Thursday, beginning at 2:00 a.m. (EST), EWTN will broadcast the divine liturgy from the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George.
The Catholic network will also broadcast on Thursday Benedict XVI's visit to Hagia Sophia.
On Friday EWTN will broadcast the Holy Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit with Bartholomew I in attendance, and the Pope's departure from Ataturk Airport in Istanbul later that same day.
