His Holiness Pope Francis is happy to send the participants in the Synod of the Waldensian-Methodist Church a cordial and fraternal greeting, as a sign of his spiritual closeness. He assures them of his fervent remembrance in prayer, so that the Lord will enable all Christians to walk with sincerity of heart towards full communion, to witness Jesus Christ and his Gospel, cooperating in the service to humanity, in particular in the defense of the dignity of the human person, in the promotion of justice and peace and in giving common answers to the suffering that afflicts so many people, especially the poor and the weakest.

Cardinal Pietro Parolin

Secretary of State of His Holiness
