Pope Francis confirmed today that he will visit Africa in November. The Holy Father made the announcement during his meditation at the World Retreat of Priests in Rome.

“In November, I will be in Africa: first in the Central African Republic and then Uganda,” he said.

The Holy Father also said that there might be a third stop in Kenya, but it depends on “organizational issues at the moment.”

The Pope has a busy travel schedule this year. He will be visiting Bolivia, Ecuador and Paraguay in July and Cuba and the United States in September.

Pope Francis had previously announced his first visit to the African continent during his flight back from his Apostolic Visit to Sri Lanka and the Philippines in January.
