The Pontiff referred Thursday to the program he proposed in the apostolic letter “Tertio Millennio Ineunte.”

He recalled the meeting that Annibale Maria Di Francia (1851-1927) had with a nearly blind beggar who awakened in him such evangelical love that he was impelled to found the religious congregations of the Rogationists.

When he met with 900 religious, successors of Blessed Di Francia, the Pope said: “Yes, holiness is also possible at this difficult time. What is more, it is the priority I indicated at the end of the Great Jubilee.”
