Internet Conference to Focus on "Faith and Reason"

VATICAN CITY, JAN. 24, 2005 (Zenit.org).- A theologians videoconference on Internet, organized by the Vatican Congregation for Clergy, will be held this Friday on the topic “Faith and Reason.”

The conference may be followed live, beginning at noon (Roman time), and recorded on the Web page of the dicastery at www.clerus.org.

The original texts of the addresses, delivered by the theologians in various languages, will be posted there later.

Browsers need Real Player on their computer in order to follow the conference with pictures and audio.

Theologians scheduled to participate in the videoconference include Father Michael Hull on New York, who will speak on “Man’s Metaphysical Capacity,” and Auxiliary Bishop Julian Porteous of Sydney, Australia, on “Christianity as ‘The Only Sure and Beneficial Philosophy.'”
