The Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera has published an 11-volume collection of some of Pope Francis’ favorite books.

According to the newspaper, the collection offers “an important key for entering [the Pope’s] interior world” and has been drawn up by Jesuit Father Antonio Spadaro, editor of the Jesuit journal La Civilta Cattolica.

The collection, The Library of Pope Francis, includes the writings of four Jesuit authors: St. Ignatius of Loyola, St. Peter Faber, Cardinal Henri de Lubac, and Father Gerard Manley Hopkins.

Other authors in the collection include St. Augustine, English novelists Msgr. Robert Hugh Benson and Ethel Mannin, Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Argentine short-story writer Jorge Luis Borges, the German poet Friedrich Hölderlin, and Italian poet Nino Costa.
