Mexican Emigrants Getting Special Attention

MEXICO CITY, MAY 28, 2001 (Zenit.org).- Mexican and U.S. bishops are working with the Vatican to address the pastoral and social problems faced by Mexico´s emigrants.

In statements Sunday to the press, Archbishop Giuseppe Bertello, the apostolic nuncio in Mexico, said that the two countries´ bishops, as well as representatives from the Pontifical Council for Migrants and Travelers, are seeking ways to help the groups most affected by emigration.
