ROME, Nov. 6, 2012 (Zenit.org).- The Centro San Lorenzo (CSL) international youth center will host twelve hours of Eucharistic Adoration this evening on the occasion of the United States presidential elections.

Adoration will begin at this evening at 7pm in the CSL chapel (following 6pm Mass), and will continue through the night until 7am Wednesday morning.

San Lorenzo in Piscibus – the official name of the CSL chapel – is located a few meters from Saint Peter’s Square. The medieval chapel was constructed on the site of a fish market where Saint Lawrence is said to have distributed alms to the poor.

The current structure was built in the 12th century, although it is believed that a church in honor of Saint Lawrence has stood on the site since the 3rd century.
