Opus Dei Founder´s Homilies Published in Arabic

MADRID, Spain, JUNE 14, 2001 (Zenit.org).- The first edition in Arabic of a book of homilies by Opus Dei´s founder has been published in Lebanon.

A total of 2,000 copies have been printed with the works of Blessed Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer.

The publication has five homilies on “Marriage, A Christian Vocation,” “On the Lord´s Epiphany,” “On Joseph´s Workshop,” “The Eucharist: Mystery of Faith and Love,” and “On the Feast of Corpus Christi.”

The second Arabic edition of “The Way” will be published in the near future. The first translation of this work was done by a Lebanese monk in 1959. The new edition is planned for next year, the centenary of Escrivá´s birth.
