MR. VINICIO ANGELINI

Having learned the news of the death of the venerated Cardinal Fiorenzo Angelini, I wish to express my sentiments of profound sympathy to the family, to the diocesan community of Rome, of which he was a distinguished son, and especially to the Sisters of the Reparation of the Holy Face. I recall with affection this dear and esteemed pastor, who exercised his long and intense ministry for the edification of the Church in Rome, in the world, primarily from within Catholic Action, then with praiseworthy Apostolic ardor in the hospitals and nursing homes in Rome, and finally as president of the Pontifical Council for Healthcare Workers. I raise fervent prayers to the Lord so that, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Salus Populi Romani, he will receive this generous servant and illustrious man of the Church in joy and eternal peace. To those who mourn his passing, I impart my comforting Apostolic blessing.

FRANCISCUS PP.
