MOSUL, Iraq, JUNE 17, 2003 (ZENIT.org-Fides).- Salesian priests in the Middle East are anxious to be back among the children of Mosul after the war.

As in 2002, they will start a week of preparation for summer camp team leaders on June 25. This will be followed in July by three weeks of morning activities for about 400 adolescents, and afternoon activities for an additional 300 youngsters from seven Chaldean parishes in Mosul and one Syrian-Catholic parish.

The camps encourage local parishes to initiate a process of socialization among the participating children. The camps organize a number of activities, including recreation, sports and formation.
