VATICAN CITY, MAY 17, 2006 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI reminded Polish pilgrims in Rome that he will soon undertake an apostolic trip to their country under the motto "Be Strong in the Faith."
The Pope's second international apostolic trip, May 25-28, will take him to places that were pivotal in the life of Karol Wojtyla, the future Pope John Paul II.
"From today," Benedict XVI said to the Poles who were attending today's general audience in St. Peter's Square, "I ask you and all the Church in Poland to pray so that, in these days, with the help of God's grace, we will be able to strengthen one another reciprocally in the testimony of faith."
The Holy Father, speaking in Polish, said that he had hope that "the servant of God John Paul II will accompany us."
