Pope Francis was visited today by the Chief Rabbi of the UK and the Commonwealth, Ephraim Mirvis.
The rabbi was accompanied in his trip to Rome by Cardinal Vincent Nichols, archbishop of Westminster.
After the meting with the Pope, the rabbi and the cardinal spoke with Vatican Radio.
They discussed not only their meeting, but challenges at home (including the push to legalize assisted suicide) and the situation in the Middle East, including the persecution of minorities.
