“A commitment of high technical and editorial quality has been necessary to put into operation a system that integrates, image, sound and written texts in completely different alphabets,” the papal broadcasting station announced in a statement.

With the new system, each one of the 39 linguistic sections of the radio station will be able to offer its own production of news and services without having to wait for a specified transmission hour.

“With this renewed presence online, Vatican Radio contributes to the spread of the universal message of the Church in the world, with the certainty that Internet is among the decisive instruments of communication for the institutional role of the Vatican broadcasting station,” the note added.
