The Mass will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Basilica at 10 a.m., followed by exposition, adoration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, confirmed the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff.

Cardinals, archbishops, bishops and priests are invited to concelebrate, said a note issued Tuesday by the Holy See.

In addition to the religious and laymen working for Holy See organizations, the invitation to attend the Mass is also extended to those working in the Vatican City Governorate.

The homily will be delivered by Bishop Renato Corti of Novara, who is preaching the Spiritual Exercises for John Paul II and officials of the Roman Curia this week.

During the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, there will be prayers, hymns and readings from Scripture on the Eucharistic mystery, said Archbishop Piero Marini, master of papal liturgical celebrations.
