Your support to evangelize the world
Dear Reader,
Is $50 too much to spend on evangelizing the world?
We likely haven't met, but I think I know that you care about the Church, and that you care about getting the very best, timely news -- so that you can put your faith into action.
That's our thinking at ZENIT, and it's why I am confident/hopeful/begging! that you'll take just two minutes today to click on the secure link below and make a $50 gift to ZENIT:
http://www.zenit.org/english/donation.html
Yes, there are many who get ZENIT, around the world, but many really cannot afford to make a $50 gift.
Would it shock you if I told you that I have spoken to some ZENIT readers who really and truly cannot afford a $5 gift? It's true ... it's sad ... but it can be all made good by your generosity today.
Today, can I count on you as a Friend of Friends of ZENIT? $50 is all I ask you to send today ... but if you can send $500 or $5,000, then God bless you all the more!
ZENIT's policy has always been to spread Church news as widely as possible, through the best technology available.
That is why we offer our news service free to all readers who make personal use of it. Even when we charge fees, such as to media clients, we offer low rates for those on limited budgets who are involved in the work of evangelization.
This policy has brought good results. More than 530,000 e-mail subscribers receive ZENIT in seven language editions. That includes 510,000 personal-use readers.
We want to maintain the no-fee policy for private subscribers. Many of our readers would never be able to get ZENIT otherwise. But to cover costs, we have to rely on fees from media clients, select advertising, and, above all, donations from our readers.
During this campaign we need to collect $1,500,000 from readers' donations. This amount would cover about 55% of ZENIT's annual budget for 2008.

In past years, the English edition has contributed the most to ZENIT's support. We are confident that this year, too, the generosity of the 130,000 English edition readers will be the key to the success of the campaign.
We hope to receive $380,000 from our English-speaking readers.
Are you among the English-speaking readers who can send $50? $500? $5,000?
If $5 or $10 is a sacrificial gift, then by all means send that amount -- and may the good Lord bless you a hundredfold.

So is $50 too much to evangelize the world?
I think not -- and I think/trust/hope that you are a person of good will with enough means to help make this happen.
Thank you for reading ZENIT, and for your prayers, and for your help.
With all good wishes and gratitude for whatever help you can give us,
I am yours sincerely,
Karna Swanson Lozoya
