Advent calendars don’t always come with chocolates, but also exist online.

For the fifth year Xt3.com has launched its Advent calendar at http://www.xt3.com/advent

Xt3 – which stands for Christ in the Third Millennium – was launched in Sydney, Australia, in 2008 for the World Youth Day held that year and has since continued as both a social networking site and a resource center on topics related to the Catholic Church and religion in general.

The calendar can be viewed on the Web site, and also by means of apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.

Each day a new door virtually opens so that users from all over the world can have a unique yet shared experience.

The calendar includes all kinds of interactive material like daily reflections, podcasts and even videos like this one – http://www.xt3.com/library/view.php?id=15253 – featuring children talking about the true meaning of Christmas.
