A church and offices were badly damaged by the attack on the nearby consulate, according to the charity Aid to the Church in Need. Unless a five-storey building is renovated, the community cannot resume its religious activities.

The Germany-based Aid to the Church in Need (www.kirche-in-not.org/e_home.htm) is looking for benefactors to help this ecclesiastical community in Istanbul.
