ANNUAL BUDGET
Here is ZENIT's budget for 2009.
It is the general budget for all seven language-editions: Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian and Arabic (in the order they began).
As is well explained in the page "ZENIT's finances," ZENIT's services are totally free for personal use.
For those who wish to make professional use of ZENIT (information services and organizations) there are fees for reprint permission.
As can be seen in the budget, the existence and growth of ZENIT depends almost entirely (93% of the budget) on donations, 80% of which are reader donations.
Thanks to those who send donations, we can continue our policy of free subscriptions for readers who make personal use of ZENIT, many of whom are missionaries, catechists and religious men and women working around the world, who could not pay for a subscription.
The increase over the years in the number of readers who have decided to make an economic contribution is a positive sign for the future development of ZENIT and proof of the interest that ZENIT has aroused all over the world.
Here is a data summary of the donations received in past years (in order to facilitate calculations and comparisons, all figures are in U.S. dollars):

For eight years now, thanks to reader donations, ZENIT has operated entirely in the black, despite the fact that the costs are ever increasing as the organization grows and undertakes new projects, the most recent of which was the launching of the Arabic-language edition.
Truly, ZENIT is an agency that stays alive because its readers sustain it!
We trust that this indispensable support will always be available, and we thus invite each reader to send a donation according to your possibilities.
Last year, some 20,000 readers decided to economically sustain ZENIT. In 2009, we hope this number reaches at least 25,000.
We are aware that ZENIT's language-editions cannot all contribute to the same degree. Some language-editions are widely read in countries that remain under developed. Other language-editions are still young, and therefore have fewer readers.
we hope to receive $420,000 this year.
Thank you so much! We count on your help!
