Internet a Bad Master

A response to: Facebook Penalized for Offensive Photo of French Bishop

There is an old saying I learnt on a typing course “Electricity is a good servant, but a bad master.” The same can be said about the Internet.

Remember the story about the penance given a lady by a saint a few hundred years ago when she had spread infamous tales: “Take a bag of chickens feathers and throw them out through the city and come back tomorrow.”

When the lady returned to complete her penance, the saint said: “Pick the feathers all up again.”

That’s a lot more difficult than a fine!
