The Earth: God's Gift

Article: A "Green" Thomism?

Is it possible that we are continuing to focus on "man dominating over the earth" instead of seeing our humanity as part of the earth? By this I mean that God created earth, plants, animals and humans, and the focus of humans should be working with the earth to aid sustainability rather than using it up.

The earth is a gift of God to us, just as we should be a gift to the earth from God. If we humans do not accelerate our understanding that the continued rape of the earth is killing our very selves, we will end up with nothing -- not even God because we have misused the gifts given to us, returning very little but waste.
